CENTER Lab turns 3 years old today!

This is an important milestone in the transition from a startup to a sustainable model. The CENTER Lab team is proud of the results that have been achieved during this time. And on our Birthday, we want to remind you of some of them.

The laboratory implements projects in various regions of Russia, taking into account their features and development priorities.

In May 2023, the All-Russian competition for the development of an architectural concept of a social and cultural center in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky ended, the winner of which was a consortium led by the architectural bureau Wowhaus. And the project itself has become part of a new master plan for the city center.

We are glad that our projects in Kazan continue to develop actively. Ilsur Metshin, the mayor of Kazan, said that the construction of the new Kamala theater is planned to be completed ahead of schedule – by the end of 2024. Recall that the architectural concept of the Kamala Theater was chosen as a result of a unique international competition, the operator of which was our urban laboratory.

In 2023, leading analysts at the CENTER Lab completed the Southern Port study, reflecting a systematic vision of the strengths and weaknesses of the promising redevelopment area of Moscow, which aims to become the third center of the capital. This was an important continuation of an earlier international study on industrial quarters for the Moscow Government.

We strive to constantly share our experience and knowledge, talk about our projects at the sites of the International Exhibition of Architecture and Design “ARCH Moscow”, the Moscow Urban Forum, ISOCARP and many others.

The CENTER Lab conducted an analytical research in order to integrate the Luzhniki Collection project into the overall development strategy of the Luzhniki sports cluster at the junction of the interests of the city, the developer and the citizens. The main task of the study was to develop recommendations for the creation of a single cultural and sports cluster, a rare format for our country.

Projects that arose as a result of the largest competition for wooden house construction together with the DOM.RF is already being implemented throughout the country.

We continue to monitor how our development ideas are being implemented in Norilsk and Monchegorsk, in Kazan and Kamchatka, in Moscow and Anapa, and soon we will tell you about exciting projects this year – openness is an important part of our culture.

We have achieved many professional heights in 3 years and we are not going to stop there. Thanks to the efforts of the team and the pursuit of excellence, the CENTER Lab continues to grow, opening up new opportunities for the implementation of new ambitious projects together with leading developers, development institutions, authorities and caring enthusiastic, motivated people all over the country!
