Expert of the CENTER Lab took part in the Siberian Building Week

Siberian Building Week, an international exhibition forum in construction and design, is being held in Novosibirsk until February 17.

In the frameworks of the Forum, a role of an urban area master plan was discussed as a sustainable development tool.

Maria Sedletskaya, Head of the Analytical Group of the CENTER Lab International Urban Laboratory, took part in the discussion presenting the report “Tynda Master Plan. The Place and Role of the Document in Decision Making on Area Development”.

A Master Plan is an effective strategic planning tool that determines the priorities for the development of a territory, as well as takes into account existing socio-economic factors.

The development of the Strategic Master Plan for the city of Tynda was completed in January 2023.

Each master plan is based on the pronounced key message. An integrated scenario was chosen as a Target Scenario for Tynda for the period until 2030. It supposes creation of a full-cycle economics: a production and logistics cluster and a cultural and service cluster, local business synergy and development of the mineral resources manufacturing plants in Tynda municipal district.

An integrated analysis of key problems and main needs would enhance the image of Tynda as the capital of the Baikal-Amur Mainline, inhabited by active and initiative residents. This brings Tynda in line with its actual role in the development of the Amur region.

The scheduled activities would foster Tynda integrated development as a compact city with a metropolitan level of services.
