Open Nationwide Competition for the development of standard designs for residential buildings and social and cultural facilities

The Open Nationwide Competition for the development of standard designs for detached houses and apartment buildings (up to 4 stories), as well as for social and cultural facilities with the use of wooden load-bearing structures, based on the Standard for the integrated development of territories, is being held upon the instructions of the Government of the Russian Federation for the subsequent inclusion of the winning projects into the register of cost-effective design documentation for re-use by the Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Utilities. The International Urban Laboratory CENTER Lab is the organizer of the competition.
Aim
The creation of a database of standard designs for detached houses and apartment buildings (up to 4 stories), as well as for social and cultural facilities with the use of wooden load-bearing structures.
Search for approaches to designing low-rise residential developments, apartment blocks, and private houses, the integration of the best practices in the use of wooden load-bearing structures into the current and future development of urban and rural settlements.
Format
Open, all-Russian.
Participants
Integrated house-building factories, construction organizations, real estate developers, architectural firms.
Prize fund
40 winning projects 60 000 000 rub.
Nominations
Industrially produced detached houses (built with the use of wooden load-bearing structures) – 15 winners will receive awards of 1,100,000 rubles each.
Industrially produced detached houses (built with the use of any materials) – 10 winners will receive awards of 1,100,000 rubles each.
Blocks of residential buildings (built with the use of wooden load-bearing structures) – 5 winners will receive awards of 1,500,000 rubles each.
Low-rise apartment buildings (built with the use of wooden load-bearing structures) – 5 winners will receive awards of 2,500,000 rubles each.
Social and cultural facilities (built with the use of wooden load-bearing structures): school, kindergarten – 4 winners will receive awards of 2,900,000 rubles each; medical and obstetrical facility — 1 winner will receive 900,000 rubles.

They help both experienced and young companies demonstrate their skills in the development of complex architectural and planning concepts and develop their competence by working in consortia. It is essential that the competition be of practical value, and that citizens, regions, and municipalities can make use of high-quality and effective designs for housing and social facilities for the development of the private housing construction segment.
