CENTER Lab Turns 3 Today!

It’s an important milestone on the way from a startup to a sustainable model. CENTER Lab team is proud of the results achieved for this period. And on our Birthday, we want to remind you about some of them.

The Lab is implementing projects in various regions of Russia with due regard to their specific features and development priorities.

In May 2023, the nationwide competition for the development of an architectural concept of the social and cultural center in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky finished, the consortium under the leadership of Wowhaus architect bureau won the competition. The project was included in the new city center mater plan.

We are glad that our projects in Kazan continue to develop actively. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, declared that the construction of the new Kamal Theater is expected to be finished ahead of schedule, by the end of 2024. It should be reminded that the Kamal Theater’s architectural concept was chosen based on the results of a unique international contest our urban laboratory was an operator of.

In 2023, CENTER Lab leading analysts finished the South Port survey representing a systemic vision of strengths and weaknesses of the perspective Moscow redevelopment territory pursuing to become the third center of the capital. The initiative was an important continuance of the previous completed international study on industrial districts of Moscow performed for the Moscow Government.

We strive to constantly share our knowledge and experience telling about our projects at the sites of International Exhibition-Forum of Architecture and Design ARCH MOSCOW, Moscow Urban Forum, ISOCARP and many others.

CENTER Lab conducted an analytical study to integrate the Luzhniki Collection project in an overarching strategy of the Luzhniki Sports Cluster at the intersection of the interests of the city, the developer and the urban residents. The main task of the sutdy was to develop recommendations to create a single cultural and sports cluster, that is a rare format in Russian.

The projects materialized due to the largest contest for wooden house construction in cooperation with DOM.RF are already being implemented across the country.

We continue to track our development concepts being implemented in Norilsk and Monchegorsk, in Kazan and Kamchatka, in Moscow and Anapa, and soon will tell you about this year’s fascinating projects, since openness is an important part of our culture.

For 3 years we have won lots of professional achievements and are not going to stop there. Supported by the team’s efforts and quest for excellence, CENTER Lab is still growing while finding new opportunities to implement new ambitious projects in cooperation with leading developers, development institutes, authorities and involved, purpose-driven enthusiasts all over the country!
