The research of the Center Lab has been added to the TATLIN library

The research “Assessment of the Development Potential of Norilsk” conducted by experts of the International Urban Laboratory CENTER Lab, is now available on the TATLIN electronic library portal.

TATLIN is the leading publisher of architecture and art in Russia. Over 20 years of operation, it has published about 600 publications related to architecture, art and design.

The research was prepared within the framework of the Open International Competition for the development of an architectural and planning renovation concept for the city of Norilsk up to 2035.

It provides an insight into existing issues in the urban environment and proposes future directions for the development of Norilsk, taking into account the existing potential.

Norilsk is one of the supporting territories of the Krasnoyarsk region. It is among the leaders among the cities of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation by the most important macroeconomic indicators and one of the five northernmost cities in the world with a population of more than 100 thousand people.

Norilsk’s main problems are the harsh climate. In order to create favourable conditions for people to live, the city needs to develop its social infrastructure.

The research gives an insight into the problems of the urban environment. Experts of CENTER Lab also suggested promising directions for Norilsk’s development, taking into account its potential.
