Governor of Amur Oblast spoke about the development of Master Plans for Far Eastern Cities

Governor of the Amur region Vasily Orlov spoke with a report on the results of 2022. Special attention was paid to the development of Master-plans of Far Eastern cities.

The International Urban Laboratory Center Lab has developed a Conceptual Master Plan for the town of Svobodny and a Strategic Master Plan for Tynda.

Tynda is a strategically important small town. It provides rail and logistics links of interregional and international importance. Tynda’s connection to the history of the construction of the BAM plays a special role in identity.

Tynda’s Master Plan includes:

  • Gas supply,
  • Development of the production and logistics cluster and service services,
  • Complex renovation of housing stock,
  • Formation of a community and cultural and educational centre,
  • The development of tourist routes,
  • Development of winter zones for active recreation and sport.

For the image of Tynda 2030, not only comfortable living conditions are important, but also a variety of leisure opportunities, gaining knowledge to develop personal qualities, uniting citizens for communication and interaction.

As a result of the implementation of the integration scenario, the population will increase by 15%, the annual increase in wages will be 6-8%, the quality index of the urban environment will increase by 88 points.

The Baykal-Amur highway will receive an additional impetus due to the implementation of the master plan of Tynda. New investment projects, including the expansion of the BAM, are projected to increase population and production.
