The final stage of development of Tynda Strategic Master Plan Development is underway

Tynda is a single-industry oriented town, a key station of the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) in the global development zone of the Asia-Pacific region, the youngest and the northernmost town of Amur Region.

Work on the Project began in April 2022. During this time, a comprehensive analysis of the region was conducted, and a Conceptual Master Plan was prepared.

A consortium led by CENTER Lab with the participation of leading market experts has developed the city’s mission, principles, objectives and targets for socio-economic and spatial development scenarios for the period up to 2030.

As part of the study, an architectural and spatial analysis of the city was carried out, functional and planning features of the centers of urban, regional and local significance were identified, and an assessment of the current state of urban environment was made.

The study of the prospects for the development of the city was carried out considering qualitative and quantitative sociological study. It was therefore possible to identify key user requests and reasonably propose infrastructure development activities.

The target development scenario is based on a cluster model of new business projects in the manufacturing, logistics and service sectors. The key projects were chosen based on Tynda’s competitiveness and the ability to accumulate raw materials with a short transportation leg from producers along the Baikal/Amur and Trans-Siberian railways.

The presence of a unique identity of the city, natural and landscape areas help to create a renewed design code of Tynda, based on the expressed theme of the BAM heritage, but taking into account modern technology and thematic zoning of the city.

The strategic master plan will make it possible to expand the positive effects of the presence of industrial residents and form a sustainable sector of urban services.
