Maria Sedletskaya, Head of Analytical Group at the CENTER Lab International Urban Laboratory, participated in the public talk \u201cComfortable environment and new urban identity\u201d. The meeting was organized by the Museum of Moscow within the agenda of the exhibition \u201cMoscow without outskirts. Ochakovo-Matveyevskoye\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ochakovo-Matveyevskoye district was designed in 1960-1970 that reflected in the specific features of its planning. The district is currently surviving the second stage of active redevelopment and reorganization of former industrial areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The public talk participants discussed what the comfortable environment is in practise and in real life today, its components, and how to handle the new urban identity. The second important topic of the meeting concerned the issue of encompassing various users\u2019 experience and demands when designing urban spaces and landscaping territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maria introduced to the audience the recent trends in redevelopment of industrial areas, potential for development of the former industrial zone of the district and the significance they could gain as a result of transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The public talk speakers, apart of Maria Sedletskaya, included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Denis Romodin, architectural historian, senior researcher of the Museum of Moscow, head of the Garden Ring Museum, author of the resource on the modern style and the Soviet architecture history;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Konstantin Zdyshev, Head of Masterplan product by PIK developer;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anastasiya Gritskova, architect, partner of Novoye architectural firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maria Chichagova, a consultant on urban and regional development, moderated the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
