Start of the Heritage Vector-2024

The school for municipal officials, Heritage Vector-2024, started its work in the Leningrad Region.

Maria Sedletskaya, head of the analytical group of the CENTER Lab International Urban Laboratory, participated in the launch of the Heritage Vector-2024, a municipal officials school.

Within the framework of the project launch, the experts in cultural heritage preservation and development of urban environment discussed cultural heritage issues, the problems of historical environment preservation and master planning.

The list of lecturers included experts of the Branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Central Research and Design Institute of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation” of the State Research Institute of the Theory and History of Architecture and Urban Construction (NIITIAG), State Unitary Enterprise “Genplan Institute of Moscow”, Architecture and Restoration Research Center of Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering (KSUAE), Autonomous Non-profit Organization “ASIRIS”, the CENTER Lab International Urban Laboratory.

In the flow of discussion, Maria Sedletskaya talked about the relevancy of a master plan as a modern instrument for urban planning. She shared the key elements of work, utilizing comparative examples of recent mater plans, from comprehensive assessment to action plans. In a tourism sector, a master plan defines promising territories, localization of projects for tourist infrastructure development interconnected with a single route network. A well-elaborated value proposition per each target group and format of image events in event schedule impact the commercialization potential.
