Installation seminar was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

From April 10 to 14, the finalists of the Nationwide competition for the development of the architectural concept of the social and cultural center in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky  attend an installation seminar in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. In four days, the finalists, together with the region and city administration explored the context of the city.

On the final day of the seminar, the participants visited the Halaktyr beach, located on the eastern coast of Kamchatka. This beach is characterized by black volcanic sand. For several years now, the Halaktyr beach has been a popular place for leisure activities and has a huge tourist potential. It hosts jazz concerts and environmental festivals.

The finalists also visited the Kamchatka Territorial United Museum and the Vulcanarium Museum, where they studied the historical and geographical context of the territory in detail.

The results of the installation seminar were summed up by the deputy minister of construction and housing policy, the chief architect of the Kamchatka region Mikhail Kudryachov. He thanked the finalists for their active participation in the business program of the seminar.

The installation seminar will be the basis for the conception of a new urban public space with a unique architectural appearance.

The winner of the competition will be announced on May 30 at the final jury meeting.
