A panel discussion at the press center of Russia Today news was held

A panel discussion on the topic of “North-East City as the driver for the development of Moscow polycentrism and redevelopment of territories” was held at the press center of Russia Today news agency.

During the event experts discussed the factors that contribute to successful development of residential and commercial real estate, using redevelopment of former industrial areas, which was a part of the complex North-East City project, as a case study.

Today the development of the metropolis is based on creating local attraction spots and the functional diversity of Moscow districts. A plenty of opportunities for life, work and leisure embodies a new typology of the “vertical city”, reflecting the swiftness of the modern lifestyle.

This concept lies at the heart of the new megaproject which is to be built on the territory of the redeveloped Butyrsky district – Upside Towers residential complex. The territory of the complex is a consistent space with a promenade and a landscape park, which will become a part of the renovated urban area.

Butyrsky district is one of the oldest in Moscow. In order to efficient use of the cultural landscape potential during redevelopment, the attention of residents and future users to the history of the district and to individual elements of the industrial heritage is a priority. There are already formed residential areas, as well as modern business clusters and creative spaces on the territory. Today Butyrsky district is actively developing due to creating local community centers and new attraction spots.

The experts paid special attention to the specifics of the commercial infrastructure formation in high-rise quarters and trends in creating a comfortable urban environment as well as their impact on the modern improvement of Russian cities.

The development of the north-east part of the capital, the improvement of its transport accessibility contributes to an increase in the investment attractiveness of Butyrsky district. In the next 10 years it should become a new point of growth and a center of attraction in the north-east Moscow.

We plan to implement programs for the integrated development of territories and find investors with residential facilities, public and business complexes, recreational areas, creative clusters and educational institutions.
