Key Master Plan projects for Amur region cities were discussed

On 23 January, the Minister of Development of the Far East and the Arctic Aleksey Chekunkov held a meeting, in the framework of which the key projects of the master plans for the development of three cities of the Amur region were presented: Blagoveshchensk, Svobodny and Tynda.

The meeting was attended by the Governor of the Amur region Vasily Orlov, the General Director of the Foundation “The city’s economics institute” Alexander Puzanov, representatives of the Amur Region Territories Development Center and the Far east and arctic development corporation.

As part of the discussion of the master plan, the Governor of the Amur region Vasily Orlov noted that gasification is a critical infrastructure project for the comprehensive development of Tynda. As a result of the construction of the new gas outlet, the cost of paying for municipal services for the local population will decrease and conditions will be created for the development of business.

The meeting was held in preparation for the presentation of master plans for large Amur cities to the President of Russia. The order to create them was given at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in 2021.

The team of CENTER Lab worked on the master plan of Tynda from April to December 2022. During this time, a comprehensive analysis of the region was conducted and a Strategic Master Plan was prepared.
