Happy New year 2023!

On New Year’s Eve, it’s customary to summarize and plan for the future. We are delighted that the past year has been a busy one for our team. The geography of the projects of the International Urbanist Laboratory (IULL) has covered regions of Russia with different strategic priorities and tasks.

In cooperation with the Amur Region Territories Development Center, the “CENTER Lab” Team developed the Conceptual Plan of the town of Svobodny, as well as the Strategic master plan of the city of Tynda.

In March 2022, the Open International Competition for the development of an architectural-planning concept for the renovation of the city of Norilsk until 2035 ended. Within the framework of the Competition, a study was prepared “Assessment of the Development Potential of Norilsk”.

In cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, the Third Russian Youth Architecture Biennale was held in Kazan, as well as the Open International Competition for development of an architectural concept of Galiasgar Kamal Tatarian State Academy Theater.

Together with the DOM.RF Foundation, the Open All-Russian competition was held to develop model projects of residential buildings and social-cultural objects using wooden support structures. According to the results of the Competition, the regions and municipalities of Russia have the opportunity to use high-quality and effective projects of houses and social facilities for the development of the segment of housing.

Within the framework of the educational special project ′′Moscow Industrial′′, a comprehensive study of the redevelopment of former industrial territories was performed, which served as the basis for a series of excursions through the industrial quarters of the Capital.

Finding new meanings, developing methodological approaches, discussing ideas are impossible without expert support. Thank you to our partners.
